This morning I was cleaning up the kitchen and Maya asked:
"Mommy, are we cleaning the house because it's the New Year?" Kind of reminds me of the time that she asked if we were moving because "this house was too messy".
Just so you know, I clean my house everyday. She's just very critical...

This reminds me of when(ever...it seems) we're really hookin' it to get the house clean, the kids will ask,"who's coming over??" As if my sudden surge of vision can only be activated by the threat...er,uh..of visitors. Hmmph. I try to explain in a most sacred tone that I'm cleaning because WE live here, and we're to take care of our blessings....yes, the blessing of the garbage can, etc etc etc. :)
